Oom Piet Accommodation - Gansbaai

We had an amazing stay at Oom Piet Accommodation! The room was cozy and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and clean facilities. The balcony provided a beautiful view over Walker Bay, and the location was perfect with easy access to the old harbour, rocky shore, and local shops. The staff, especially Francois, were friendly and supportive, making us feel very welcome.

The only small improvement that could be made is the hotel breakfast. It would be great to have more variety and options to choose from.

The units at Oom Piet Accommodation in Gansbaai had a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave, making it super convenient for us to prepare quick meals for our family. We loved that the units also had a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, perfect for relaxing and catching up on our favorite shows after a long day of exploring. The apartment we stayed in had a private entrance, giving us a sense of privacy and exclusivity during our stay. The tiled floors in the units were a nice touch, adding to the overall cleanliness and freshness of the rooms.

Personally, I would have preferred if some of the units were air-conditioned, as it can get quite hot during the summer months. However, others might not see it as a problem and can still enjoy their stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this accommodation in Gansbaai. The apartment we stayed in was the smallest option, but it was very good. It had a well-equipped kitchen and a separate sleeping room. The hosts, Francois and his wife, were cute and made us feel at home throughout our stay. The location of the hotel was perfect as we had a great view of the old harbor and the Lucky Star Pilchard factory. We could easily walk to the harbor and rocky shore, as well as access various shops and groceries within a few minutes. There were also lovely coffee shops nearby with friendly staff and delicious cakes. We felt safe and secure , with no need to worry about locking doors or activating alarms. The car parking was convenient, and the on-site manager was available to answer any questions we had about the area. We also appreciated the helpfulness of the staff, including providing an extra remote for our convenience. this accommodation provided excellent value for money and we would definitely choose to stay here again.

Some guests have mentioned a strong fish smell emanating from the nearby harbour.

The WiFi was available in all areas, so I could update my Instagram with pictures of the garden views and pretend I was enjoying nature instead of being glued to my phone.

Who needs to see the ocean from inside the apartment anyway? It's much more exciting to walk all the way outside just to catch a glimpse.

Tucked away gem: My family and I stayed for one night, and it was perfect for our city break. the rooms were clean and well equipped, offering picturesque views. the owners were extremely responsive and helpful whenever we needed assistance. We also appreciated the convenience of being within walking distance of amenities. the secure parking behind motorized gates was a great convenience as well.

There was some noise from upstairs and outside, which interrupted our peaceful stay. Hearing the stairs and water from other guests staying above was a bit distracting.
